Scents from the fjords
Extraordinary light in Norway
To dominate even more this landscape, we could have continued endless going up. But thanks to this extraordinary light, we stopped and enjoyed it.
Sprinkling on the Norwegian coast
It snowed during the night. Norwegian coasts were slightly covered by a thin layer of snow. In the Blue Hour, the landscape became so beautiful.
Photographers of northern lights
Perched above this impressive cliff, two photographers tried to capture the intensity of these northern lights.
Thanks Benj who motivated me to climb till the pass. The light was magical. And the last sunrays warmed the cold atmosphere.
First northern lights
Our first northern lights were a little bit shy. They could not be seen with the naked eye. Actually, we only saw them with the first pictures. However, they augured northern lights hunting for the next few nights.
Northern lights above Devils Jaw
What a show given by these extraordinary green lights dancing above Devils Jaw !
Husøy, fishing port
Small fishing port, Husøy is a city built by its inhabitants on a small island off Senja. Shrouds are used to strengthen the houses so that they resist many storms.
These northern lights crossed the entire Norwegian skies. The scene was so vivid that I will never forget it.
Here is Norway in winter: snow which gets down to the sea level, warm colours which warm an atmosphere that truly needs it.
In the middle of Anderdalen
Lost in the middle of Anderdalen, white stretched as far as the eye could see. Cold was stronger than on the seaside. But the view was stunning.
Dance of northern lights
Dance of northern lights is impossible to express in pictures. It must only be watched.
Devils Jaw, a classic view
Every photographer passing through Senja stops and shoots Devils Jaw with his own manner. The place is inescapable.
Segla at sunrise
Segla is a typical mountain of the Senja island. It is very popular thanks to its unique shape which makes it photogenic, especially at sunrise.
Ebb tide in Tungeneset
The sea was agitated along the Tungeneset coast. Retreating, the sea left its imprint on the boulders.
Where to pitch the tent ?
A good idea was to pitch the tent just here. Close to the cliff. In front of a stunning view.
Spectacular northern lights
On this night of February, the sky started to burn without glowing colours like for a sunset but with green vivid colours.
